Product Description

CultivatorMiddle cultivator
Cultivation machinery mainly refers to the machinery used for weeding, loosening the soil, breaking up surface soil compaction, ridging and mounding, or performing the above operations while fertilizing during the growth period of crops. It includes full cultivation machines, inter-row cultivation machines and special-purpose cultivation machines. Full cultivation machines are used for pre-sowing land preparation, fallow land management, and the mixing of chemical fertilizers and chemical agents for seedbed preparation. Inter-row cultivation operations for crops include loosening the soil, breaking up surface soil compaction, thinning, weeding, topdressing and inter-row furrowing and mounding. Some special-purpose cultivation machines are used for specialized operations in orchards, tea gardens and rubber plantations.

In arid regions or hilly areas, to prevent soil moisture evaporation and water loss, using heavy-duty cultivators for stubble tillage achieves better results. This type of comprehensive cultivator has a working depth of about 38 cm. Its working parts include both elastic and rigid hoe teeth, and the handles are equipped with safety springs, safety bolts or safety pins and other safety devices. The shovels are mostly S-shaped, with an installation distance of 16 to 25 cm, and are installed in 3 to 4 rows to enhance soil passability and prevent clogging. The wide-width type is tractor-drawn, divided into 3 to 5 groups, and can be folded for transportation. [2]
Most inter-row cultivators are rear-mounted, but there are also front-mounted ones. There are many types of general-purpose cultivators widely used for inter-row cultivation of grains and cotton. For example, the VRC series of suspended cultivators produced by Danco Skil Company come in five specifications ranging from 2 to 12 rows. Among them, the 8 to 12-row models are folding types with a working width of 2.5 to 9.5 meters. They feature a simple parallelogram linkage following mechanism and non-pressing rubber following wheels. The working components are S-shaped vibrating spring teeth. The operating speed is 8 to 12 km/h when the depth is 15 cm, and each spring tooth requires 1 to 2 horsepower.
The drive-type cultivator is increasingly used in Europe and America. This type of working component has good soil-breaking performance, is not prone to grass entanglement, and leaves a smooth surface after cultivation. It can be easily combined with other components to perform multiple operations such as loosening soil, stubble crushing, weeding, and fertilizing. There are approximately 14 Italian manufacturers of rotary cultivators, offering various types of blades. The rotational speed of the blade shaft ranges from 119 to 270 r/min, and the traveling speed is around 2.5 km/h. The width can be adjusted by adding or removing blades. The frame is equipped with adjustable depth-limiting wheels, and the cultivation depth is 10 to 12 cm. The blade types include T-shaped, right-angled, leaf-shaped, L-shaped, and arc-shaped.
The frame of the cultivator is of a frame type for traction and mostly of a single beam type for suspension. Rectangular steel tubes are commonly used. Folding and depth adjustment are operated by hydraulic cylinders.
The main working parts are the shovel-type components, which are the basic type of cultivators. Most of the shovel-type working parts are equipped with spring release devices and various types of elastic shovel handles, with the maximum release force reaching 100 kg. The S-shaped elastic teeth can produce uniform effects both front and back during operation, ensuring uniform tillage depth, loosening grass roots and throwing them onto the surface, achieving good effects of soil fragmentation and weed control. The opening angle of single and double-wing shovels tends to decrease to enhance the ability of the shovel to remove weeds, and the surface after cultivation is flat. Due to poor soil penetration and unbalanced side pressure, single-wing shovels are less used in cultivators in recent years, and various types of plant protectors are adopted instead. Rotary hoes are mainly used for loosening the soil in the row of crops during the seedling stage, with a diameter of 350 to 500 mm and low rolling resistance. [2]
